A seminar entitled “The risks and treatment of addiction" was presented by lecturer Baydaa A. Hisouny, and lecturer Zehraa A. Hasan in the conference hall at the Computer Engineering Department on Thursday, 2-May-2019.

The seminar emphasized on the importance of raising awareness for addiction and its effect on the physical, and mental health. In addition to these habit’s destructive role to the society, and the damage inflected by the addict to himself and to his family. Furthermore, the ways of treating this addiction has been discussed.

A job interview was conducted by Huawei for Computer Engineering Department students, and graduates on Monday 15-April-2019 in the conference hall.

The representatives of the company provided a range of jobs in the field of sales of smart devices, to give them employment opportunities to help them reach their potential and fulfill their positive role in the community.

The Faculty Football championship

The football team of the Computer Engineering Department got the second rank in the championship of the President of the University of Technology for Faculty football. In the presence of the President of the University (Prof. Dr. Amin D. Thamer), the participating teams, and a group of faculties, the Cup was handed over to the head of the department (Prof. Ahmed S. Al-Araji) after the final game held on Thursday, 2019 on the football field at the university.

Prof. Dr. Eng. Ahmed S. Al-Araji, the head of computer engineering department, had been awarded a certificate of appreciation for his efforts reviewing research papers, which were applied to the “2nd International Conference for Engineering, Technology and science of Al-kitab University 4-5 December-2018”.

The conference was held at Al-kitab University, with the support of IEEE Scientific Foundation. Prof. Dr. Eng. Ahmed S. Al-Araji, was also registered as a referee for the next session of the conference, in recognition for his efforts in providing scientific insight and valuable guidance for researchers at the current session.
