The computer engineering department undergraduate students for the academic year 2019-2020 have started attending their classes on tusday 1-10-2019, full with a spirit of optimism and enthusiasm, ready to make efforts to follow up their scientific activities, and seize the opportunities to achieve high scientific ranks to raise the name of the department and the university, which announce the commencement of the new academic year.

The head of Computer Engineering Department (Prof. Dr. Ahmed S. Abdul-Amir) received an appreciation letter for reviewing a research paper entitled: (Hybrid path planning algorithm based on membrane pseudo-bacterial potential field for autonomous mobile robots) in the international scientific journal (IEEE Access) on 19-10-2019.

The head of Computer Engineering Department (Prof. Dr. Ahmed S. Abdul-Amir) received an appreciation letter for reviewing a research paper entitled: (Optimal Path-Planning of Nonholonomic Terrain Robots for Dynamic Obstacle Avoidance Using Single-Time Velocity Estimator and Reinforcement Learning Approach) in the international scientific journal (IEEE Access) on 19-10-2019.

Dr. Ghaida M. Abdulsahib, an Academic staff member of Computer Engineering Department has published the research paper “Comparison and Evaluation of Cloud Processing Models in Cloud Based Networks” in the “International Journal of Simulation Systems, Science and Technology - IJSSST”. The aim of this study is to increase the quality of SAAS and reduce the used amount of energy.

Dr. Ghaida M. Abdulsahib, an Academic staff member of Computer Engineering Department has published the research paper “An Improved Algorithm for Fire Detection in Forest by Using WSN” in the Indian journal “International Journal of Civil Engineering and Technology”. The aim of this study is to reduce the fire hazard using wireless sensors.
